It’s safe to say that we, the members of The Parkland Show & Expo, love to hunt! We love being outside, immersed in nature surrounded by quiet beauty and escaping the busyness of our modern day world. The best part…being able to introduce our children to life long passions, and creating memories while teaching the next generation life skills and valuable life lessons.
This is why we created the Access to the Outdoors (ATO) program. We believe the EVERY child, regardless of ability, should be able to experience this feeling. The feeling of watching the sunrise from your blind, or watching the deer graze in the field. That energy you feel when that animal is finally in your sights and that rush of emotion when you harvest your game!
The ATO uses our resources to locate and organize adaptive hunting and fishing experiences within our province to provide youth, ages 5-18, with physical and/or intellectual disabilities and illnesses, an opportunity to make their hunting and fishing dreams come true.
These trips come at no cost to the recipient and include travel costs and all of the gear needed for your adventure! Access To The Outdoors aims to take care of every need to make your outdoor dream become a reality. This years trip recipient will be announced at the Parkland Outdoor Show & Expo’s Annual Banquet.
